2005年1月～2013年2月にTHRAを行われた患者についてHb < 10 (n = 938) と、Hb >= 10 (n = 1529)の2群に分け後方視的に調査した。術後の貧血は明らかに術後AKIと関連があった。GFR≧60ml/min/1.73㎡の患者でも、術後のAKIは術後の貧血と関連があった。

周術期呼吸器合併症Perioperative respiratory adverse events (PRAEs)は、麻酔を受ける子供で、深刻な合併症の最も大きな要因である。PRAEの5つのリスク因子：年齢 ≤ 3 years (vｓ >3 years), ASA-ps II またはIII (vs ASA ps I), 肥満, 術前の肺障害, 外科手術 (vs 放射線) が同定された。
このツールは術前にPRAEのリスクを予測するのに役立つであろう。
